Claremorris Colts got of to a flying start in the U13 Connacht cup when they visited Westport Bulls last Sunday.

Captained by Adam Gleeson the Colts laid down the gauntlet right from the off by keeping the him team firmly entrenched in their own 22′.

The pressure paid off early when the impressive Jack Fallon ran in the opening try after 10min, followed by the conversion for a 7-0 lead.Claremorris ran in a further two tries thanks in the first half through Cathal “fingers” Heaney and Jack Fallon.

Early in the second half Westport got on the score sheet when their second row ran the length of the pitch to touch down under the posts. This was as goo as it got for the hosts as the Colts went on to dominate the game by running in three more tries courtesy of Darragh Joyce, Jack Fallon and Jarlath Judge to give the Colts and impressive 36-7 win.
