Below are the fixtures for week 2 of our Tag rugby league happening next Wednesday June 19th. All teams must sign in 15 minutes before kick-off. All teams should then be on the pitch and ready to play 5 minutes before kick-off.

Once the games are over it’s all back to The Western Hotel for plenty of post game craic.

It was a great opening night to our Tag rugby league wit 14 games taking place. Here are the results after the first two rounds of games.

Also big thanks to our league sponsor Hanley’s Bar who laid on plenty of food once the games were over. Don’t forget we’re off to The Western Hotel next Wednesday evening once the Tagging is done.

Tag Rugby League Information

Our Tag rugby league kicks off officially on Wednesday June 12th. The league will run for a number of weeks with the finals night scheduled for Friday July 26th.

This Wednesday 29th & June 5th teams will play their first games as a team against the other teams in the league.

It is each captains responsibility to ensure their team is present and ready to play. The captain must also collect €5 from each team member and pay this at the registration tent. The cost to enter each team in the league is €300.

Below is a copy of the rules of Tag rugby and the rules for the upcoming league.

Tag Rugby League Survey

Its Tag rugby league time again and once again there is a great demand for places. Like previous years we have to limit participation to 14 teams due to pitch restrictions and resources. Below is a survey we would like all tag players to fill out to help us gauge what players want from the upcoming league that we will run throughout June and July. This feedback will help the league improve each summer.

The start of our tag rugby league is only a few weeks away so it is now time to get you team entries in to us. If you already have you team sorted then please email info@claremorrisrfc.com with your team name, team members, team colour and which league you are entering.

If you want to be on a team then please email us or let us know at training on Wednesday nights that you are looking for a team.

We hope to run two leagues this year. One social league, will be the same as last year where teams will play for the Cup, Plate, Bowl etc and one proper fun league where teams will play each other each week but the emphasis will be on fun and enjoyment. The league will start at the end of May with the final night for both leagues scheduled for Friday July 26th.

Tag Rugby Blitz Winners

Well done to the blue team who won our one Tag rugby blitz in Carramore on Sunday. The team captained by Evelyn Sheerin also had Maurice Prendergast, Adrian Joyce, Brid Mullins, Michael Gleeson & Damien Meehan on board.

It was a great day of Tag rugby and we would like to say a HUGE thanks to all the other players who participated on the day. Also big thanks to Helen and all in Forde’s pub for their hospitality once the games were done and dusted.

U14 Connacht Plate Final
