Girls U15s vs Ballina

Our U15 girls travelled to Attymass to take on Ballina in the league with both teams were unbeaten so far this season. The Colts started strongly with direct running and slick handling, the pressure paid off when Nicole Mullee picked and drove for the first try and Abby Ronaynne added the extras. The Girls attacked again using the full width of the pitch to stretch Ballina and the impressive Aine Mangan got the first of her two tries. Chloe Nevin was left with work to do when she broke down the wing for the third try of the half. Colts looked to be in control but Ballina girls had other ideas and they came storming back into the game and touched down just before half time. The second half started with Ballina turning the pressure back on The Colts. They held onto the ball through the phases and worked up the pitch to get two well worked tries leaving only two points between the teams heading into the last quarter. To the credit of our Girls they lifted their game again with some hard rucking and won some good turn overs . Molly Agger and Aine Mangan finished off great team play working hard to score two tries. Abby Ronaynne had a great day off the kicking tee and converted both final tries. So the Colts win what was a great game of rugby from both teams.

Final Score: Ballina 15 – 31 Colts
