The Claremorris Colts rugby players are facing into a very busy weekend with all the mini teams (except the U7’s ) traveling to various blitzes and the U15’s playing Ballyhaunis in their Plate quarter-final on Sunday morning. Here is the itinerary for the weekend…….
Under 7 Mini Rugby
The Claremorris Colts Rugby U7’s will have training on Saturday (29th March) morning at the usual time of 10-11:15am sharp on the Convent Pitch. This will be the last training session ahead of the end-of-season blitz which will be happening with Tuam RFC and Monivea RFC on Saturday 5th April. Under 8 & Under 9 Mini Rugby Blitz in Castlebar RFC
The Claremorris Colts Rugby U8 & U9 mini rugby teams will be traveling to Castlebar RFC on Saturday morning for their annual Connacht blitz. We have a couple of players who may need a lift so could parents and supporters traveling to the blitz please meet in the Local Car Park at 9am before making way for Castlebar. Under 10 & U12 Mini Rugby Blitz at Corinthians RFC
The Claremorris Colts Rugby U10 & U12 teams make their way to Corinthians RFC on Saturday where the hosts await the U10’s whilst Wanderers (Dublin), Cambridge (UK) and the home team make up the opposition for the Colts U12’s. Can parents, supporters and coaches meet at 8:30am in the Local Car Park on Saturday morning to carpool to the blitz. Under 11 Joe Moran Mini Rugby Blitz at Naas RFC
The Claremorris Colts Rugby U11’s have the task of defending the Joe Moran Perpetual Trophy on Saturday and will be embarking on that task when the bus leaves the Local Car Park at 8:00am for Naas RFC. The blitz starts at 12:00pm and the opposition will be Naas RFC, Buccaneers, County Cavan, Cobh Pirates and Clonmel. Its planned that all games and the presentations will be completed by 4:00pm so after accounting for stops on the way home, the bus should be back in Claremorris and the Local Car Park by 7pm. Girls Mini Rugby Blitz at Ballina RFC on Saturday morning
The girls mini rugby teams are at Ballina RFC for their Connacht blitz on Saturday morning with Ballina, Westport and Oughterard providing the opposition. We’re asking parents and supporters to assemble at 9am in the Local Car Park, Claremorris and carpool to Ballina to share the burden of transport. Best of luck girls & enjoy!!
U15 Plate Quarter-final Claremorris Colts Rugby vs Ballyhaunis RFC
The Claremorris Colts Rugby U15’s play Ballyhaunis RFC in the Connacht Rugby U15 Plate competition on Sunday 30th March kicking-off at 11:30am at Ballyhaunis RFC. Can all players be at Ballyhaunis RFC for 10:30am and ready to play in what should be a competitive game against our near neighbours.
