The Claremorris Colts girls and boys mini rugby teams are on the road on Saturday 11th January when they travel to Castlebar RFC and Westport RFC to play in their first blitz of 2014.
Boys Mini Rugby Blitz at Castlebar RFC
The U8, U9 & U10 boys are visiting Castlebar RFC where they will play against the hosts & the mini rugby players from Westport RFC. Castlebar RFC is located at Cloondeash which is approximately 3 miles outside of Castlebar on the N84 road going towards to Ballinrobe.

We are car pooling to Castlebar leaving the Local Car Park at 9:30am to arrive at Castlebar RFC for 10am. For those traveling independently we need all players to arrive at the Castlebar RFC and be ready to play at 10:00am latest. It is expected that all games will end at approximately 12:30pm and after refreshments, everyone to be starting the return journey to Claremorris by 1:00pm.
Can all traveling players wear their Colts playing gear (Shirt, Black Shorts, Red Socks & Windcheater). Castlebar RFC will provide changing facilities and it is strongly advised that each player brings a change of clothes especially if the weather is wet on Saturday.
Girls and Boys Mini Rugby Blitz at Westport RFC
Meanwhile the girls mini rugby teams and the U11 and U12 boys travel to Westport for a blitz with Westport RFC and Castlebar RFC. Our hosts have requested the Colts teams arrive at Westport RFC for 10:00am sharp. The rugby club is located in Carrowholly which is off the Newport road (N59) and past the Golf course on the left. We are also car pooling to Westport but leaving the Local Car Park at 9:15am to arrive at Westport RFC for 10am sharp. Can all players traveling independently please arrive at the Westport RFC for 10:00am latest. The blitz is planned to run through until 12:00pm and after refreshments, the players, parents and supporters should be on their way back to Claremorris by 12:30pm.
