The Colts drew first blood to get the game’s opening try. From a Colts lineout Liam Murphy attacked the CorinColts ruck v Corinthiansthians line before the ball was worked to Luke Ronayne who powered his way over.

The Colts didn’t have too long to enjoy their lead as within minutes Corinthians were in front. When the Colts were penalised for holding on, Corinthians worked the ball through a number of phases to score under the posts and lead 7-5.

Undeterred by the concession the Colts responded by pining Corinthians inside their own 22′. This pressure saw the Colts win a penalty which Jack Vahey kicked to put the Colts back in front 8-7. Colts lineout v CorinthiansThat however was as good as it got for the lads in red and white.

The Colts made a number of changes throughout the second half but could not get enough dominance in open play to turn their chances into scores.
